40-year-old arrested for cutting man with knife in Henry County




HENRY COUNTY, VA – A 40-year-old man was arrested for pulling out a knife during an argument and cutting another man in Henry County on Tuesday night.


Deputies were called for a stabbing incident in the 200 block of Green Acres Circle at around 10 p.m.


When deputies got there, they say they found 26-year-old Robert Essington III in the yard with lacerations to his arm and face.


Essington was treated for his injuries at the scene by Henry County Public Safety.

According to authorities, Christopher Claude Hill had gone to the home and started arguing with Essington’s girlfriend.


The sheriff's office said Essington tried to defuse the situation at which point Hill pulled out a knife and cut Essington.

Hill was arrested at his home at 440 Green Acres Circle without incident and he was charged with malicious wounding.


He is being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.

HENRY COUNTY, VA – The Henry County Sheriff‘s Office is working a stabbing incident Tuesday night.


Around 10 p.m., deputies along with Henry County Public Safety were called in the 200 block of Green Acres Circle after a man was stabbed.


“A male victim suffered multiple non-life threatening lacerations at that location,” Colonel Wayne Davis told BTW21 News. “The suspect is in custody at this time.

We are in the preliminary stages of the investigation.”


Public safety paramedics tended to the victim, but he was not taken to the hospital for his injuries.
