Emergency crews were called to a fire that broke out at a house on New Dale Street in Martinville Wednesday night.
Around 11 p.m., Martinville Fire and EMS along with the Martinville Police Department responded.
After arriving on the scene, crews could see smoke coming from the roof of the residence.
At this time, the cause of the fire is believed to be electrical.
However, the cause remains under investigation.
The Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Department provided assistance.
The fire department cleared the scene at 1:49 a.m. on Thursday.
No injuries were reported.
