MARTINSVILLE, VA – A fire following an explosion leveled a house in Martinsville on Thursday night.
The fire was reported shortly before 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Kenmar Drive.
Volunteer fire departments from Ridgeway and Collinsville and the Henry County Department of Public Safety were dispatched to assist with the blaze.
The home owner was able to get himself and his wife safely out of the house.
At this time, it is not known what caused the explosion.
The structure burned to the ground.
The Martinsville Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
