ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A new chapter has begun for the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office as Billy Parker was officially sworn in as sheriff.

Members of the Sheriff’s Office congratulated Parker following the ceremony and said they look forward to serving alongside him under his leadership.

The agency said its deputies and staff remain committed to protecting Rockingham County residents with integrity, professionalism and dedication.

Sheriff Parker succeeds longtime Sheriff Sam Page, who retired after serving as Rockingham County sheriff since 1998.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is honored to continue serving the community and looks forward to the future under Parker’s leadership.
