HENRY COUNTY, Va. (October 26, 2025) — A Bassett man has been arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Tahoe Drive, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said 31-year-old Roberto Gomez Telles, of 100 Woody Circle, Bassett, was taken into custody after a search warrant was served Sunday afternoon at 1210 Tahoe Drive.
“The search warrant was obtained following an increase in overdose incidents at this particular address within the past 24 hours,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a release. “Deputies had also received reports of heavy foot and vehicle traffic at the residence.”
Authorities executed the warrant around 1:39 p.m., detaining several individuals found inside while conducting a search of the property.
During the search, deputies reported finding suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence consistent with narcotics use.
Based on the evidence and statements collected at the scene, Telles was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance in violation of Virginia Code §18.2-250.
Telles was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional details about the other individuals detained at the scene.
