Axton man arrested after drugs, guns and cash seized in search

AXTON, VA – An Axton man was arrested and charged following a drug bust Tuesday morning.


The Henry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant in the 8000 block of Axton Road.


Sheriff Wayne Davis said suspected fentanyl, marijuana, two illegally possessed firearms, ammunition, and cash were seized.

38-year-old Reginald Earl Tinsley, of the address, was arrested and taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held with no bond.


His charges are possession of schedule I or II drug (fentanyl), possession of a firearm by a violent convicted felon and possession of a firearm while in possession of a scheduled I/II substance.


Sheriff Davis said tips from the community lead him to the home.

The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards of up to $2,500.00 for information related to a crime. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information provided determines the amount of reward paid.
