HENRY COUNTY, VA – Over the last 24 hours, our area saw more than enough rainfall, which caused numerous road closers and power outages, as saturated grounds caused trees to fall over.

Horse Pasture: 3.19 Inches
Ridgeway: 3.00 Inches
Martinsville City: 1.98 Inches
Rocky Mount: 1.01 Inches
Penhook: 0.91 Inches
Ferrum: 0.81 Inches
Ararat: 0.75 Inches
On top of the heavy rain, the Smith River at Bassett also saw its third highest record recorded at 12.49' feet at 8:00 PM Sunday.
The second highest was set back in 1950, with a measurement of 13.04', and the record high is 15.2' feet set back in 1987.
