Piedmont Arts has announced an additional entry date for its highly anticipated annual exhibition, Expressions 2025, providing local artists with more opportunities to submit their work for consideration.
Artists living within a 100-mile radius of Martinsville can now enter their artwork on Thursday, May 15, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., in addition to the original entry time of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.
All artwork must be submitted during the designated time frame, as no early or late entries will be accepted.
"Expressions" is a celebrated open-entry exhibition, presented by Lynwood Artists and Piedmont Arts. The event invites artists from the region to showcase their work, with every submission meeting the entry guidelines guaranteed a spot in the exhibit.
Artists may submit up to two pieces, and the artwork must have been completed within the last two years. It’s important to note that works previously shown in Expressions are not eligible for entry.
Artists interested in participating should carefully review the entry form and complete all necessary requirements before submitting their work. The entry form, along with the full set of entry rules, is available for pickup at Piedmont Arts and online at PiedmontArts.org.
This year's exhibition will be judged by Gretchen Carr, the gallery manager at Tamarack Marketplace in Beckley, W.Va. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in seven categories, in addition to special awards such as Purchase Awards, the Lynwood Artists Award, and the highly anticipated Best in Show prize.
The Expressions 2025 exhibition is sponsored by Sovah Health and King's Grant, with support from the local community and partners who help bring the event to life.
