MARTINSVILLE, VA – The City of Martinsville says it has taken a collaborative approach since August to improve its public parks.
The city continues seeking input from residents to ensure their voices are heard and the online survey will be closing on Sunday.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to participate.
With a commitment to delivering major park upgrades, the city allocated $500,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act in 2022.
Partnering with the West Piedmont Planning District Commission, the city secured a $40,000 grant from the USDA Rural Development Office, supplemented by a $10,000 local match, to initiate the parks improvement plan.
"Residents' insights are a crucial part of this project," stated Mayor L.C. Jones. "We invite everyone to participate and contribute to our shared vision."
The survey can be completed here.
