MARTINSVILLE – Martinsville City Council held their organizational meeting Wednesday. Newly elected council member Danny Turner and newly re-elected council member Jennifer Bowles were sworn in.
Turner nominated Bowles and Chad Martin nominated Kathy Lawson for Mayor. Lawson won the nomination with a 3-2 vote.
Turner nominated Bowles and Jim Woods nominated Martin for Vice Mayor. Martin won the nomination with a 3-2 vote.
