“If I Were Mayor” essay contest winners awarded

MARTINSVILLE – What would you do as mayor to make your city or town a great place to live? That is the question that Martinsville Middle School students answered in the Virginia Municipal League’s “If I Were Mayor” essay contest.

Martinsville City Council presented cash awards, funded by council members, to students who recently participated in the contest. The winners are first place Claire Coleman, second place Vanessa Hernández Aleman and third place Ja’Kiyah Gravely. #BTW21
