FRANKLIN COUNTY – Each jail in Virginia must have a full audit every three years per State of Virginia Department of Corrections regulations. Franklin County Sheriff’s Office three year jail audit occurred this week. Wayne Solomon, DCJS Local Facilities Manager and David L Baisey, DCJS Certification Analyst inspected Franklin County's jail and hundreds of jail documents. Franklin County's jail was rated 100 percent.

"Our top notch Jail Staff had to complete over 120 standards in addition with all the inspection details involved in an audit of this magnitude," the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said. Major Mike Bowman stated, "A 100 percent rating is a testament to our entire jail staff. We strive for excellence and it is evident in this audit's results. Thanks to all of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Corrections Division for a job, well done."
