Former Collinsville Fire Chief Ken Clay dies at 85

COLLINSVILLE – Saturday, Thomas Kenneth “Ken” Clay, Sr. passed away after 85 years of life. He was born on March 22, 1933, in Enfield, North Carolina. Clay devoted his time as a volunteer fireman from 1961 to 2016 in Enfield, North Carolina and Collinsville. He served as Chief and in many other positions in the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department. He held certifications to instruct fire training in North Carolina and Virginia. Clay served the Army from 1954 to 1956 with rank of Special Third Class as a North Atlantic Treaty Organization Top Secret Coder.

Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville is serving the Clay family.
