Food Truck Wednesdays at Jack Dalton Park starts May 16th

COLLINSVILLE – Foodies get excited! Food Truck Wednesdays at Jack Dalton Park will offer residents the opportunity to try new foods and enjoy their lunch in the shade under the picnic pavilion. Twice a month from May until September, the event will showcase vendors selling a smorgasbord of foods, including BBQ, ribs, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, pork chops, hamburgers and fish sandwiches.  Anyone with a sweet tooth will want to sample the Italian ice, donuts, cinnamon rolls, pies, funnel cakes or fried Oreos.

Sponsored by the Henry County Parks and Recreation Department, the event will run from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on May 16 and 30, June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, August 8 and 22, and September 5 and 19.  Come early for the donuts and cinnamon rolls as Daylight Donuts will begin selling at 8:00 a.m.

“Jack Dalton Park is the most popular park in the area,” said Parks and Recreation Director Roger Adams. “Food Truck Wednesdays will bring a new type of excitement to the park and give folks the opportunity to try something different for lunch.”
