HENRY COUNTY – The Henry County School Board approved the Superintendent’s recommendation to fill one administrative position Thursday.
Corey Fobare will be Director of Student Support Services. Currently, Fobare serves as Coordinator of Alternative Programs & Student Activities. Fobare joined HCPS in 2017 to serve as Coordinator of Regional Alternative Programs & Athletics and previously served students as a coach, teacher, and athletic director in Roanoke County.
“I am both humbled and honored to continue to serve our division as Director of Student Support Services. My experiences have prepared me for this opportunity to serve the students, staff, and families of this community. I am eager to work with our administrators in helping to achieve positive outcomes for our learners in Henry County.”
The appointment was approved by the School Board after reconvening from closed session.
“Mr. Fobare’s passion for working behind the scenes to ensure student safety and progress will be a critical asset in his new role. I am pleased to have him collaborate with our staff, students, and families to ensure that every student reaches his or her full potential,” said Sandy Strayer, Superintendent.
