COLLINSVILLE, VA – Bryant-Everett Florist in Collinsville has closed its doors and has merged with another floristry shop in Martinsville.
When BTW21 News called Bryant-Everett to get more information about the closing, the phone call was transferred to Simply The Best, Flowers & Gifts.
“She merged her shop with ours and she is working here,” owner Buck Davis said.
Davis was talking about Sharon Martin, the owner of Bryant-Everett Florist, who he says started working for him this week.
“We are very excited to have her here with us. She's been doing this a long time. We value her experience and expertise,” he stated.
When asked the reason for the closure, Davis said it was due to “the current circumstances with COVID and everything going on and the problem is finding enough people to work.”
Martin closed her floristry shop at the end of January and the process of moving its contents is still underway.
