MARTINVILLE – On February 5, 2020 at approximately 6:25 PM, the Martinsville Police Department responded to a traffic accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 300 block of Fayette St.
Donna Day Spencer, 52, of Martinsville was struck by a 2014 Toyota Prius while apparently attempting to cross the street.
Spencer was transported to SOVAH of Martinsville and then to Roanoke Memorial, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Investigators and officers processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses.
The case is still under investigation by the Martinsville Police Department, Crash Reconstruction Team.
