MARTINSVILLE – Shortly after the 2 o’clock hour Tuesday, a Chevy van caught fire in the parking lot of Patrick Henry Mall. Martinsville Fire and EMS told BTW21 that the driver saw smoke coming from the vehicle and drove into the parking lot, making sure he was not near any buildings. The driver parked the van near the CVS on East Church Street in Martinsville.
The cause of the fire is unknown. No one was hurt.
