RIDGEWAY – Witnesses say the driver of a tractor trailer headed north swerved to miss another vehicle near the intersection of Moorehead Ave. and Greensboro Road causing the truck to overturn into the south bound lane. The driver, a male in his 40’s appeared to be suffering from non-life threatening injures and was still in the truck cab when rescue personnel arrived. VDOT is evaluating the situation and could be closing down all North bound lanes soon detouring them to Church Street. Ridgeway Fire and Rescue assisted by Public Safety are on the scene. Additional manpower has been called in to assisted with cleanup and traffic safety. Traffic is still moving in the area but heavily congested. Virginian State Police are investigating.
