MARTINSVILLE – The left lane of the Smith River bridge in Martinsville is closed while VDOT crews are rebuilding a portion of the foundation. That portion began collapsing because of the weekend flooding. Crews are also working on cleaning logs and limbs that have clogged the running water at the Martinsville spillway.
