PART transportation to celebrate 10 years of service with fare free day

HENRY COUNTY – Piedmont Area Regional Transit (PART) is pleased to announce that all trips will be provided for free on Friday, January 4. This “fare free” day is in recognition of 10 years of service to the Martinsville and Henry Country area and appreciation of all of their customers who have been a part of the experience. If you’ve never ridden the PART system before, or haven’t ridden in a long time, give it a try for free.

PART would also like to recognize a new daily ridership record. On December 3, PART set a new daily record with 239 riders. This broke the previous record of 215 set on November 24, 2017.

PART is a deviated fixed-route system that runs 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. The usual fare is fifty cents per trip. It is managed by Roanoke Area Dial A Ride (RADAR), a non-profit organization that has organized and maintained both public and private human service transportation for more than 40 years. The route schedule is posted on RADAR’s website, www.radartransit.org.

For more information, contact RADAR Director of Regional Transit Joseph Baker at (800) 964-5707.
