Rockingham County, N.C. - On July 18th, 2024, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, along with the Caswell County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, conducted an operation targeting illegal video gaming operations.
At "The Little House" in Eden, N.C., located at 122 NC 700, authorities executed a search warrant on June 27th, 2024.
They seized various video gaming devices, hard drives, surveillance equipment, and cash.
Carl Richard Reeves Jr., 63, from Cooleemee, N.C., the business owner, faces multiple charges including felonies related to operating video gaming machines and misdemeanors for gambling and possessing slot machines.
He was arrested and received a $7,500 unsecured bond in Davie County.
On July 18th, a second raid occurred at 9900 US 29 Business in Ruffin, N.C. Video gaming equipment, surveillance gear, and cash were confiscated.
Three individuals, Shavon Bauldwin, 38, Dwayne Johnson, 53, both from Virginia, and Troy Stubblefield, 59, from North Carolina, were charged with operating more than five video gaming machines, gambling offenses, and conspiracy.
Bond details are pending.
Sheriff Sam Page emphasized, "For over twenty years, we have opposed illegal gaming operations.
If these establishments operate unlawfully in Rockingham County, they will face investigation and prosecution to the fullest extent of the law."
