Henry County man arrested after guns, drugs found during undercover investigation

HENRY COUNTY – A man is facing multiple felony charges following a search of his Hidden Valley Drive home on Wednesday.

The sheriff's office said this was the second search warrant executed there during the 16-month operation. 

The first was executed on February 28, 2018. 

The following was seized:

  • approximately one-quarter of a pound of meth

  • a small quantity of heroin

  • 6 firearms,

  • body armor

  • $7800

  • 8 vehicles

  • 4 motorcycles

  • 3 ATVs

  • 1 boat

  • 1 camper

  • 1 enclosed trailer

The approximate street value of the drugs is more than $8,000, according to the sheriff's office.

31-year-old David Brandon Cannaday of Hidden Valley Drive was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of 100 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

  • Possessing a controlled substance while simultaneously possessing a firearm

  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Cannaday is currently held in the Henry County Jail without bond.

This incident remains under investigation with additional charges pending.
