FIELDALE – The Henry County School Board dedicated the track at GW Carver Elementary School in memory of Samuel Trott, Tuesday morning. Samuel Trott was an educator and advocate for students in Henry County schools for 49 years.
Trott was known for going out of his way to ensure students attended college, such as driving students there. It is estimated that Trott helped over 2,000 Martinsville and Henry County students receive a college education.
