The Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center recently held a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) training class.
Franklin County Deputy Joe Wooldridge teaches these classes with the assistance of Deputy Stephannie Mills.
The RAD classes are designed to teach women realistic self-defense tactics and techniques.
The sheriff's office says "these simple, but effective moves also work for men to ward off attackers, as well."
For more information on these classes, contact Deputy Wooldridge at email@example.com.
