HORSEPASTURE – Tuesday at around 8:30 AM, Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department and Fieldale Volunteer Fire Company responded to a structure fire. When fire crews arrived, they found a mobile home on the 100 block of Graham Park Drive fully engulfed. The fire, which had began to spread to the front yard, was put out within minutes. Henry County Public Safety assisted the fire departments.
According to Henry County Assistant Fire Marshal Kiah Cooper, the damage to the home and its contents is estimated to be approximately $15,000.
The mobile home was a total loss. The owner was not home during the time of the fire and is being assistance by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Henry County Fire Marshal’s office.
