Franklin County Sheriff Bill Overton to seek third term re-election

FRANKLIN COUNTY -- Franklin County Sheriff W.Q. "Bill" Overton announced Thursday that he will seek re-election for a third term.

"During my tenure as sheriff, we have been able to accomplish numerous achievements; some of which include accreditation of our agency, increased school security, implementation of emergency medical dispatch, and focusing the fight against the national opioid and drug epidemic," Sheriff Overton said in his announcement Thursday.
